Her practice encompasses commercial and shareholder disputes, international arbitration, the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, civil fraud, asset recovery, commercial property litigation, residential possession proceedings and insolvency-related disputes. She also advises overseas businesses establishing and expanding their operations in the UK, including on corporate structuring, employment matters and wider legal and regulatory issues.
Evveline has extensive experience acting in multi-jurisdictional disputes involving parties and assets across the UK, Europe and Asia. Her work includes advising on the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in England and Wales, including a US judgment exceeding US$1.5 million involving cross-border asset tracing and cryptocurrency assets. She has also acted in proceedings concerning the enforcement of a £78 million arbitral award, represented Chinese enterprise in an international arbitration involving proceedings across the UK, China and Germany, and advised on complex shareholder disputes involving international corporate structures.
As an Accredited Mediator and Member (MCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Evveline encourages the efficient and commercial resolution of disputes wherever possible, while remaining focused on achieving the best outcome for her clients through litigation or arbitration where necessary.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay, Evveline regularly acts for international clients and is frequently invited to speak at conferences and professional events on international arbitration, cross-border disputes and the enforcement of arbitral awards.
